History:
Beatrix’s hometown and past are generally unknown; the earliest of her past reveals her to be a swordsmanship prodigy and served under the Alexandrian royal army. There she’d raise her ranks to her current state: General of Alexandria. She was the one to report to Queen Brahne, after receiving the news from Zorn and Thorn, of Princess Garnet til Alexandros XVII gone missing from her chambers. Later on she is seen leading an attack on Burmecia, victory already claimed for Alexandria, and then prepares for an attack on the neighboring town: Cleyra. After the destruction of Cleyra, Beatrix begins to question her position and the reasoning behind this and even shows guilt for the attack on Cleyra.
When news gets out Princess Garnet was meant to be executed, by orders of the Queen, and witnesses the spell Garnet was place under Beatrix then turns on Brahne; allowing Zidane and crew to escape from the castle. She is next seen when Garnet is preparing to take the title of Queen, after the fall of Brahne. However, before the ceremony for the new queen, Alexandria is under attack by Kuja and Bahamut and both her and Steiner rush to protect their kingdom.
She is seen leading the attack just before Memoria, where it’s later revealed Beatrix is there to protect Steiner. Afterward she decides to leave Alexandria, only to be convinced to stay once Steiner confesses his love.

(This was never my best post, but I'll give you a crummy post from the dead Calamity's Cry site.)
Recently she had come to find herself in Nibelheim the General would be observed with weary eyes. Meeting the gazes of the townsfolk, she could understand very well at the worrisome lot. Though she had not been back into these worlds for long, Beatrix would come to the conclusion: her name still rang out. The General would shift her weight and flick her hair, a small smug smile slipping to her features. That would simply mean finding Alexandria would be quite simple in the near future. However, she chose to simply stay here – rumors of this place were still murmured to this day. Maybe she’d get lucky to meet this legend…
Right now she paced toward the center of town, sheathing Save the Queen, before halting at the fountain. The crisp, clean, water was quite tempting. She would never drink from a fountain; she held too much pride to submit to her body’s need. Instead Beatrix would return to the current inn that housed her, requesting for water. She would be sitting down and enjoying a drink when news would reach her ears. A child would dart in, tugging at her pant leg. ”They want you outside!” She wouldn’t budge, instead took note there was a rush tone. Panting, unable to catch his breath, led her to believe he ran directly here. The boy would dash to the door, opening it, before pleading once more. ”Please!”
Simply Beatrix would nod before standing up out of the chair she occupied. Following suit, her boots would click against the flooring as she made her exit. Once more she strolled to the center of town, being swoon over by the company of the town folks. The various voices rang to her ears and the woman found herself silencing the crowd shortly. Even her stern looks were enough to silence people.
”Now, one of you explain to me the situation.” She received what she wanted to know, and needless to say it got her adrenaline to rush. If this spotting was true then that meant a challenge awaited a short walk away.
She just had to find out. Giving thanks, for the information, to the folk Beatrix headed off. No, she was not doing this for their protection. In fact, the General never had much of a challenge – so why not try this? Considering if this known male could strike fear in others, must meant he was good. Real good. Perfect.
Her plum coloured irises would cast on the obvious taller. Long silver hair wisped in the breeze, and Beatrix felt a smirk tugging to be displayed. The trench coat, black as coal, the silver hair and the pride even the broad shoulders carried. No one could ever mimic an original legend, it simply wasn’t possible. So there wasn’t a doubt in Beatrix’s mind since this was the legendary SOLDIER the townsfolk still spoke of. She would approach, though she was not stupid to just blindly walk in, and stand within earshot. With the silence around them, there was no need to holler.
”I can see why the townsfolk speak of worry,” soft spoken, yet strength held to each syllable. ”They have right to fear. Don’t they?”
Eyes would skim to the bladed weapon, catching something off. ”Odd. Rumors of the great Sephiroth mentioned him being left handed.” She simply flicked of her hair before she reached for her own weapon. She wouldn’t be caught off guard, not like she dropped it. ”Or does my title not require a challenge to him?”
Once more, her lips almost gave a smug smile. ”If not, shall we attempt to change that? Please, I do look forward for this.”
